THE parents of murder victim Nathan Crawley are bringing him home to Huddersfield.
Nathan, 29, died after being found unconscious in Hornsea's Hall Garth Park two months ago.
A murder inquiry was launched and because of police investigations Derek and Sheila Crawley were unable to bury their beloved son.
Now Nathan is finally being brought back to Huddersfield, where he grew up.
Nathan previously lived with his family in Leeds Road, Bradley.
He moved with his parents to the East Yorkshire seaside resort five years ago.
The rest of his family, including his brother and two sisters, remained in Huddersfield.
His memorial service is being held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Sheepridge on Wednesday.
Songs to be played at the service will include Wind Beneath My Wings and Tribute To Notorious BIG, which was dedicated to the murdered American rapper.
Nathan will then be buried at Kirkheaton Cemetery in the team shirt of his beloved football club, Manchester United.
His shirt bears the number 16 of his favourite player, Roy Keane, and his name.
In a touching tribute his brother, Anthony, an avid Chelsea fan, will also wear the red shirt for the day.
A large number of family and friends from Huddersfield and Hornsea are expected to attend the service for the popular ex-chef.
Nathan's parents plan to move back to this area.
Mrs Crawley said: "Nathan followed us where we went and now we're following him back home.
"I can't be 80 miles away from him. I can't keep walking past the house he used to live in.
"His death has shaken everyone back where we live. It was the first murder there and people will take a long time to recover.
"We just want to get the funeral over with now.
"It has been difficult not being able to bury him until now as we have not been able to have any sense of closure and move forward.
"The funeral is going to be one of the hardest things we are ever going to do.
" When this sort of thing happens you just exist from day to day; you don't live.
"I keep remembering little things about him. People say it gets easier in time, but the grief never goes away."
Mr and Mrs Crawley have been overwhelmed by the support since their son's death. Friends as far afield as Iraq have been in touch.
Two Humberside men aged 17 and 20 have been charged with Nathan's murder.

This is where I was yesterday at my old friend Nesbits Funeral which consisted of a Catholic Service at The Lady Of Lords Church which despite probably driving past some thousands of times in my life in Huddersfield I have never seen.
I first got to know Nesbit when he stole the clothes off my washing line when I lived with the Ice Queen over 10 years ago, I returned the favour a few years later when I was caught red handed nicking blankets off his mums washing line.
He was always full of life and underneath the street wise image there was a caring nature, he was part of my initiation back into society following the demise of The Ice Queen and I will miss him, though since he moved to Hornsea I never saw him much.
The Funeral was a full blown affair with us in the congregation having stand up and sit down on more than 2 dozen occasions, there was also a Holy Communion where you could have some bread dipped in wine.
I declined since I am an alcoholic and also being of the Jedi religeon I would be required to approach the Father with my hands crossed accross my chest and recieve a blessing but my friend Morpheus who is Catholic went up and had his piece of bread.
Then this bloke came out of this smokey room with a little basket on the end of a piece of string which contained something which was smouldering and started wafting it around everywhere until the non smokers in the cogregation started coughing.
I had taken in my car my old friend Morpheous, his misses Cleopatra, The Ice Queen and The Russian spy and we got lost trying to find the graveyard in Kirkheaton much to the amusement no doubt of Nesbit in the spirit world.
Following the burial it was on to The Bradley & Colne Working Mans Club which most of the members dont work for the wake, I had as many J2O's as I could muster sat with Leccy, Rentagob and The Comittee before I got bored and sneaked off to take my mum shopping at ASDA and take Miss Boley my dog for a walk round the field.
I had a sit in the quiet field and said my prayers while over looking the Calder Valley and returned home to have my dinner and a quick meditation, I felt absolutely tired out and fell fast asleep and was awoken a few hours later by Morpheus phoning me up because he was ready to be picked up.
When I returned to the club a few sporadic fights had broken out where The Ice Queen and Rentagob were seated but at my end waiting for Morpheus everyone was in the "I love you" mode and cuddles and kisses were being swapped by everyone in the vicinity.
Fubuman kindly offered to put Jedi F*ckup up for a few days should he eventually return to Huddersfield and I just thanked God I had given up my drinking career over 2 years ago when I had reached the end of the road.
Even Cleopatra commented that she thought I had done very well and added that she had only shouted at me in the past when I had p*ssed on peoples furniture.

Anyway its back to work today and thankfully Dawn Raider had done a terrific job in my absence, Steve Irwin was back with another member of his team, Batman, and they are thinking of doing a documentary about the wildlife round the Jungles of THe Lost World. Today they are looking for Bats and have so far found some bat droppings, as I have said before there activities are all to do with the looming Manhatten Project which is strictly top secret.
The Balloon Warden is in a very bad mood about some Victorians which have not been fully covered with spray and I felt sorry for The Honey Monster who was for once left without words upon being on the end of a severe bollocking
