Monday morning I felt like I had once again had a meeting with them four horsemen of the apocalypse, I didnt sleep properly all night and woke up aching and full of cold.
I came to work armed with my Blackcurrent Lemsips and somehow got through the day and the night at AA.
Today and its just me and The Headmistress in the office because Betty is trying to use all her holidays before christmas being in a simular situation to me with loads of holidays left over from 2008.
Harry has been in twice, Harry is a wagon driver and is also Bettys husband, he says if I keep hiding her daily sales spreadsheet she will eventually lose her rag with me, but its okay now because I have set up a macro to automatically populate it.
Harry said that Betty is very attached to the daily sales spreadsheet, he says its her favourite one and I should not try and niggle her, just fill it in.
At the monastery I am situated downstairs near the main entrance, walking up the stairs through the reception area you are greeted to the huge empty sales office which is now home to just one solitary photocopier.
In the far corner of the room is a door which leads to the managers office, Father Carolgees, for some reason with all the lovely vacant office space he has chosen a pokey office with no windows which was incidentally the office I once worked with the Computer Cowboy sone 5 years ago.
Through a door from Father Carolgees's office you come to the main works office which is the home of Deacon Shandy Pants who is second in command here, Father Gadget who is the works engineer and who orders most of the spare parts and Friar Bill who is something to do with the production of special shaped bricks.
The Monastery really is now just a empty shell compared to what it was like in the great days of the empire which came to an end in 2005 after the 4 brick sites were purchased by the Ewoks and I moved to The Lost World.
The atmosphere here is much more relaxed than The Lost World, in fact at todays morning worship Deacon Shandy Pants was demonstating how the relaxed state of mind can give rise to the powers of telekinesis when he clearly levitated a brick in mid air.
Both Harry and Betty in the above picture have the same eyes which Deacon Shandy Pants displayed while he directed his energy into overcoming gravity.
Anyway Betty will be back tommorow and I am bound to have done something wrong, not filled some spreadsheet in somewhere but thats another day and like my Guardian Angel Usutu says I must learn to live solely in the now.

you are a very patient man with the ladies.
I am enjoying your blog,
we have our thanksgiving holiday this Thursday. What wisdom the folks had to place this to practically require a 4 day weekend :)
Changing from a busy work life to a relaxed one was difficult for me - because I always wanted to move - move - move - once I got used to the new place ( took about 6 months) I kinda enjoy how it is a slower pace than where I was. I needed tha change - only I had no idea I needed it!

It all sounds intriguing at the Monastery. I hope that Betty comes back and gives you a big hug for all the work that you have done.
Maybe she is one brick short of a load!
you should know by now. if a girl likes a certain form, it's easier to just fall in with the programme, heee heee heee.
i can imagine it must be difficult, walking into a place that holds so many memories. yet on the up side, now you have the chance to turn them all upside down, and create new ones.
here it's sweltering again. so hot one looses all energy and the will to do ANYthing... but acclimatise we will. always have so i guess this year will be no different. only thing is i tend to wake up and get energy when it's time to sleep, since that's when it's cool. and that certainly doesn't help the daytime need for sleep...
and with that i'll leave you with a HAVE A GOOD WEDNESDAY dear michael!
Hey Mikey!! I am fascinated with your imagination, I am. And I'm glad your settling in to your new circumstances so well. Have a good Wednesday.
hope you are feeling better
