Tuesday Dinnertime At The Monastery
Its Tuesday dinnertime here at The Monastery, I am eating my pork pies which I bought at the butchers accross the road from Mr Patels off licence which I used to visit reguarily many years ago.
I keep hinting that my assisstant Betty could put me up a packed lunch at the same time she does her own and her husband Harry Potters sarnies but so far it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.
Luke was poorly yesterday and he is still off school today, when I phoned him up his voice was all weak, tonight we are going bowling again for Happys team and last night, me, Cylar and Uncle Buck went to AA, it was Uncle Bucks first birthday and he ended up with two cakes, one which I bought and another bought by The Author.
I think it must of been 1 year ago when I made that business card which I planned to give to Veras and last night I finally gave her it after she asked for my telephone number.
She wants me to do a fresh install of Windows XP on her laptop and I dont think I could hide my enthusiasm, well you know what I think of Veras.
The video I have included was of our Geocaching session over the weekend, we also went out again on Sunday but I aint finished the vid for that session yet, It really is the perfect hobby for me, you get to take the dogs for a long walk and Luke loves it as well.
Anyway back to the office, with our new JD Enterprise system we need to await orders to be authorised by senior managers and well it goes up like a hierachy depending on the orders value.
Just after I started at the monastery I was asked to order some diesel and off the order went up the chain, anyway we are 4 days away from running out of diesel and the plant coming to a stop and still the order hasnt been authorised, sometimes these ideas seem good in theory but in practise they dont quite work out.
I have this morning finished designing some Excel macros to convert the excel spreadsheet data from the way it comes out of JD Enterprise to the way I need the data before I can import it into my access database, now all I need is to click one button and its converted.
You see at the Lost world all the people around made it impossible to concentrate on little projects like I do here at The Monastery.
Betty is at this moment sat in her office eating a bannana and looking out of her window, I cant do that because I aint got a window and I aint got a bannana, she doesnt seem as bossy as when I fist came but she still calls me "messy" and "disorganised"

ooooh, purple hair. now that would confirm her messy and disorganised assumption. somehow i can't quite picture that. with all your computer skills and stuff, disorganised is the last thing that comes to mind. and is veras still around? you haven't mentioned her for ages. and she now has your card. woweeeeee. i'm happy for you! now me, i suppose i gotta think of feeding the family in a little bit... don't know what to do about that though. quite frankly, i feel like ice cream, but don't think hubby would approve. although the bean sure would. hugs to luke and i hope he gets well soon!!!!!
Those of us with those profound computer skills have a tendency to be 'messy' and 'disorganised'. You tell her I said so. So, this Veras person. Is she a 'possibility'?
Yay!!!! I am so glad you got around to giving her that card! Good for you!!! I am excited!

Ever since I watched the video (earlier) the song has been spinning in my head - I love the start of it - rather like a music video and later into it with the strange color affect - really cool! But the accents when you and Luke talk are also something I can never get enough of - so nice work!

Your lunch sounds great. I'm glad that Betty has eased up a bit. It sounds as if you are busy doing what you like to do.
Hey Michael! Catching up and LOVED the video..just what i wanted to do this morning, go for a hike and is it me or has Luke grown a few inches. The whole thing was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes, I just so love bonding moments. I hope you and Veras can bond over Windows XP too. You know how we've waited for this moment:) xo
