Most of yesterday and today I have been busy decorating, first was Luke's bedroom which we did in about half a day and didn't even give the paint time to dry before the computers were wired back on with the PS3.
Luke, his brother Lord Farquaad and Lightbulb head was left alone to start the job while I went shopping with my mum, they didn't do too bad but it was a bit of a mess when I got back, clearly Luke wasn't a very good leader for them.
So it was about 9pm last night when we finally got finished. I have now given our bathroom one coat of paint, we had a new bathroom fitted earlier in the year, I don't know if I even mentioned it when I was away in Brazil, at least in my head around that time.
Well a couple of bits of wood remain entrenched into the wall and ceiling, the bits the workmen left behind, I dreamt very clearly last night that I removed the one lodged into the ceiling and all the ceiling collapsed so today when I was doing it for real, I left the one in the ceiling well alone and just painted over it.
Call me Mr bodgit, well I guess you aren't far off, so tonight Luke and his crew have gone to his mums for the night, I've even cooked my Tagliatelle speciality for my Mum and dad, brother plus Luke and his crew of course, I put too chillies in it so it was a bit hot for some.
So the dogs are walked and I have talked to my old boss “Alf Garnet” on the phone in reply to his email now sit down to relax my mind is swimming with thoughts, I cant relax so I feel the need to write a few memoirs.
Out of the window its dull and heavily overcast but the pure green of the trees which line our road contrasts sharply with the sky, I can hear birds singing, but sometimes you cant quite make out the song.
I have put BBC I Player on about these two blokes surviving out in the Australian bush, both are passing there wisdom on to me about how to survive there, its amazing how much though we have all become used to home comforts to distance us from the harsh realities of nature.

great posting.
Michael, you are a DIY person. That's cool. Sometimes I get the most satisfaction out of working on a project and seeing the results. It's a good feeling. Best to you.
oh yes, you are wise. when a dream says don't do, then don't do it for sure. i'm exactly the same. not gonna bugger around with fate, after all.... now enjoy the silence, the grey skies and green trees and enjoy your holiday week!
Great new profile pic, I didn't hardly know ya :)
So you are thinking of moving to the outback now?
that would be a reality check!
